The positioning

Anovité markets Flex6 on the growth-factor content of colostrum, stating that it contains all 87 natural growth factors including naturally occurring, non-synthetic IGF-1 and growth hormone. The stated targets are lean muscle, joint flexibility, cellular response and tissue health.

The word doing the work in that sentence is "non-synthetic". These are growth factors present in colostrum as a food, at food-level concentrations. They are not comparable to pharmaceutical IGF-1, and nothing about the product should be read as implying they are.

What the research does and does not say

Bovine colostrum has a reasonable evidence base in exercise contexts. The most consistent findings are reduced upper respiratory infections in athletes under heavy training load, and improved gut barrier function during heat and exertion stress. Both are real and both are useful if you train hard.

Evidence for direct performance gains or hypertrophy is much weaker, and the doses used in positive trials are typically far larger than a standard supplement serving. Orally administered growth factors also face the obvious problem that they are proteins passing through a digestive system designed to break proteins down.

Treat Flex6 as recovery and immune support during hard training blocks. Do not treat it as an anabolic, and be sceptical of anyone who presents it as one.

Who it suits

Athletes and regular trainees who already want colostrum and would rather buy a training-oriented format than a general one.

If you are not training seriously, plain Colostrum6 gives you the same base at lower cost.
