What Colostrum6 actually is
Colostrum is the fluid a mammal produces in the hours immediately after birth, before ordinary milk begins. Anovité states that Colostrum6 is collected within the first six hours after calving, from the first milking only, and is then spray dried at low temperature so the whole-food components stay intact.
The company describes it as containing over 700 naturally occurring constituents, including immunoglobulins, lactoferrin, proline-rich polypeptides and the IGF-1 growth factor family. The powder serving is 1.5 grams, and the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database records 122 servings per container — a useful verification point, because it means the label is publicly registered rather than existing only in marketing material.
Why the six-hour window is the whole argument
Colostrum is not a fixed substance. It begins diluting into transitional milk almost immediately and, within roughly 72 hours, has become ordinary milk. Anovité puts the industry norm at 12 to 72 hours.
That is the single specification this brand is built around, and it is the reason it heads our ranking: it is a claim the company puts in writing and submits to third-party certification, which makes it checkable in a way that most competitor marketing is not.
Whole colostrum, not a fraction
A meaningful number of premium colostrum brands remove fat, remove casein, or standardise the powder to a fixed immunoglobulin percentage. Anovité does none of these, and states the colostrum is never stripped, fractionated or reformulated.
That is a genuine trade-off rather than a pure win. Because the product is not standardised, there is no single IgG number you can use to compare it against a competitor that publishes one. What you get instead is the complete profile as collected.
Which format to buy
Powder is the sensible default. It is the cheapest per gram, it lets you start at half a serving and build up, and it is the format the 1.5 g serving figure refers to.
Capsules suit people who will not tolerate the taste, at the cost of making a larger daily intake expensive. The chewable lozenges are the most convenient and the least economical — reasonable for travel, not as your main supply.
